SunEdison operating loss widens to $18.43 million in July; sales rise

Pittsburgh, Aug. 31 – SunEdison, Inc. showed an operating loss of $18.43 million for July on $12.59 million in net sales, according to its monthly operating report filed Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

In comparison, SunEdison reported a $12.95 million operating loss for June on $2.16 million in net sales.

The net loss for July was $30.72 million, widening from a $21.5 million June net loss.

Cash and cash equivalents were $25.33 million as of July 31, down from $26.41 million at the end of June.

Based in Maryland Heights, Mo., SunEdison operates renewable power plants. It filed for bankruptcy on April 21, 2016 under Chapter 11 case number 16-10992.
