SunEdison debtor granted court approval of $42.5 million interest sale

Pittsburgh, Jan. 17 – SunEdison, Inc. debtor TerraForm Private Holdings, LLC received court approval to sell 100% of its outstanding common units and TP PREPP units in non-debtor entity TerraForm Private, LLC to DIF Infra 4 US LLC and DIF IV Co-Invest LLC for $42.5 million, according to an order filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

TerraForm Private Holdings said it filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy to complete the interest sale.

TerraForm Private, LLC is a holding company for the Atlantic Power Warehouse, a collection of operating project entities that provide wind-power capacity.

Based in Maryland Heights, Mo., SunEdison operates renewable power plants. It filed for bankruptcy on April 21, 2016 under Chapter 11 case number 16-10992.
