SunEdison asks TerraForm Global to facilitate marketing of interests

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, July 20 – TerraForm Global, Inc. said it is considering a request from SunEdison, Inc. to facilitate the marketing of SunEdison’s TerraForm interests.

According to a TerraForm bondholder presentation filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, TerraForm is in discussions with SunEdison regarding a jointly supported sales process and an accompanying protocol for managing the marketing process.

TerraForm said it has “made no decision to support any particular bidder, structure or transaction.”

The company said any change of control could have a significant adverse effect on its business, financial condition, results of operation and cash flows.

Based in Maryland Heights, Mo., SunEdison operates renewable power plants. It filed for bankruptcy on April 21 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York under Chapter 11 case number 16-10992.
