Suncorp-Metway to sell notes backed by Australian government Tuesday

New York, April 6 - Suncorp-Metway Ltd. is set to price an offering of notes guaranteed by the Australian government on Tuesday, an informed source said late Monday.

The sale is going overnight to allow more accounts in, he said. At press time the offering consisted of two- and three-year tranches.

Citigroup Global Markets Inc. and J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. are bookrunners.

The banking, investment and insurance company is based in Brisbane, Australia.
