Sumitomo mandates leads ahead of 10-year subordinated notes offering

Virginia Beach, March 25 - Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group Inc. began a series of investor meetings on Tuesday ahead of a planned benchmark issue of tier 2 subordinated notes (/BBB+/BBB) due 2024, according to an informed source.

Barclays, Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Goldman Sachs & Co. and SMBC Nikko are managing the Rule 144A and Regulation S deal.

The banking and financial company is based in Tokyo.
