Moody's: Sumitomo bonds A2

Moody's Japan K.K. said it assigned an A2 rating to the bonds issued by Sumitomo Corp. Capital Europe plc, an overseas subsidiary of Sumitomo Corp.

The outlook is stable.

Moody's said the A2/Prime-1 ratings for Sumitomo reflect the company's diversified business portfolio and a relatively low dependence on earnings from its energy and metal businesses.
