GS Finance plans 15-month trigger notes linked to Stoxx Europe 600

Morgantown, W.Va., Feb. 23 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price 0% trigger notes due May 31, 2018 linked to the Stoxx Europe 600 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are guaranteed by the Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

If the index finishes at or above the 85% trigger level, the payout at maturity will be par plus 9.65%.

Otherwise, investors will lose 1% for each 1% decline.

Goldman Sachs & Co. is the underwriter with JPMorgan as placement agent.

The notes will price on Feb. 24.

The Cusip number is 40054KXF8.
