Storm Cat Energy looks to extend exclusive plan-filing period to June 8

Pittsburgh, March 2 - Storm Cat Energy (USA) Corp. is seeking an extension to its exclusive periods to file a plan of reorganization and solicit votes on the plan, according to a Friday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado.

The company wants to extend its exclusive plan-filing period to June 8 from March 10 and the solicitation period to Aug. 10 from May 11.

Storm Cat said it still needs to address tens of millions of dollars in claims.

Storm Cat, with headquarters in Denver and Calgary, Alta., filed for bankruptcy on Nov. 10. The Chapter 11 case number is 08-27887.
