Fitch alters Stora Enso view to positive

Fitch Ratings said it revised its outlook for Stora Enso Oyj to positive from stable and affirmed its BBB- issuer and senior unsecured debt ratings.

“The revision of the outlook reflects Stora's ongoing solid operating performance after the pandemic, combined with its successful strategic transformation away from the paper segment, which should support the group's EBITDA sustainability. We expect that growing exposure to the packaging materials and solutions segments will further underpin Stora's EBITDA margins and free cash flow (FCF) generation, which will deliver strong leverage metrics through the cycle,” Fitch said in a press release.
