S&P ups Stericycle outlook to positive

Standard & Poor's said it revised its outlook on Stericycle Inc. to positive from stable.

At the same time, the agency said it affirmed the BB+ corporate credit rating on the company.

The outlook revision incorporates the trend of enhanced operating performance and cash generation, which has supported improved credit measures over the past year, S&P noted.

According to the agency, the rating on Stericycle reflects the operating and financial risks inherent in its acquisition-driven growth strategy, partially offset by the company's leading niche-market position, favorable overall industry characteristics and satisfactory credit protection measures.
