Stemcells files $100 million stock shelf

Washington, Oct. 4 - Stemcells, Inc. filed a $100 million common stock shelf in an S-3 registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The Palo Alto, Calif.-based biotech company said offerings authorized by the shelf would be used for general corporate purposes.
