Steinway to sell $175 million senior notes

St. Louis, Feb. 8 - Steinway Musical Instruments, Inc. plans to place a $175 million offering of senior notes, according to a Wednesday news release.

Proceeds will be used to fund the tender for all $166.2 million of the company's 8¾% senior notes due 2011.

UBS Investment Bank is the dealer manager for the tender, which expires on March 7.

Steinway is a Waltham, Mass.-based manufacturer of musical instruments.
