Stats ChipPAC to sell $150 million five-year bonds via CSFB, Deutsche, talked at 7¾% area

St. Louis, July 11 - Stats ChipPAC Ltd. talked its planned $150 million offering of five-year senior secured notes (Ba2/BB) at a yield in the 7¾% area on Monday, according to a syndicate source.

Pricing is expected during the middle part of the week.

Credit Suisse First Boston and Deutsche Bank Securities are joint bookrunners for the Rule 144A/Regulation S with registration rights offering. Banc of America Securities is the co-manager.

Proceeds will be used to repay short term debt and for general corporate purposes.

The semiconductor assembly and testing services company is headquartered in Singapore and Fremont, Calif.
