State Bank of India to issue $250 million to $500 million bonds by December

New York, Oct. 22 - The State Bank of India plans to issue $250 million to $500 million of bonds by December, according to a market source.

The timing of the bond offering was previously unknown.

This would be the first time the bank would launch an overseas bond issue.

The State Bank of India, based in Mumbai, India, is the country's largest bank.
