State Bank of India to issue $250 to $500 million bonds this year

New York, Aug. 12 - The State Bank of India plans to issue $250 to $500 million bonds this year, according to market sources.

The bank may also seek a foreign currency loan from international banks.

The bank borrowed $250 million through a one-year overseas loan at Libor plus 32 basis points in May.

The country's largest commercial bank is headquartered in Mumbai.
