Stadion Trilogy Fund launches April 1 with three share classes

By Toni Weeks

San Diego, April 4 - Stadion Investment Trust announced in a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission the launch of the Stadion Trilogy Fund on April 1.

The fund is offered with class A, class C and class I shares, which trade under the symbols STTGX, STTCX and STTIX, respectively.

As previously reported, the fund seeks total return with an emphasis on lower risk and volatility than the U.S. equity markets. It combines three investment strategies: (i) a diversified portfolio of common stocks and exchange-traded funds that invest in stock indexes along with options selected to provide protection from market declines, (ii) a portfolio of fixed-income securities or ETFs that invest in fixed-income securities along with options sold and repurchased to generate net premium income and (iii) index options or other securities acquired to take advantage of fundamental price changes in the markets that the adviser anticipates occurring over an extended period of time.

About 30% to 50% of the fund's assets will be allocated to each of the first two strategies, with the remaining 10% to 30% allocated to the third strategy.

The portfolio management team comprises Timothy A. Chapman, Judson P. Doherty, Gregory L. Morris and Brad A. Thompson.

The Shareholder fees consist of a maximum sales charge of 5.75% and a maximum deferred sales charge of 1%, both for class A shares only.

Management fees are 1.25% for all share classes. Including distribution and other fees and a fee waiver agreement, the total annual fund operating expenses are expected to be 2.05% for class A shares, 2.8% for class C shares and 1.8% for class I shares.

The fee waiver agreement with the fund's investment adviser, Watkinsville, Ga.-based Stadion Money Management, LLC, expires April 1, 2013.
