S&P affirms Sri Lanka Telecom

S&P said it affirmed its B+ long-term issuer credit rating on Sri Lanka Telecom plc.

The outlook is stable.

The agency said it affirmed the ratings because it believes the sovereign credit rating on Sri Lanka (B+/stable/B) continues to constrain the rating on the company.

S&P said it expects the company’s stable operating cash flows to offset a deterioration in its leverage.

Therefore, the agency said it continues to assess the company's stand-alone credit profile at bb+.
