New Issue: Barclays prices $9.04 million performance securities linked to S&P MidCap, SmallCap via UBS

New York, Oct. 28 - Barclays Bank plc priced $9,044,400 of 0% performance securities with contingent protection due Oct. 30, 2015 linked to a basket of U.S. equity indexes, according to a 424B2 with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The basket includes the S&P MidCap 400 index with an 80% weight and the S&P SmallCap 600 index with a 20% weight.

The payout at maturity will be par of $10 plus any 105% of any basket gain if the return is positive. If the basket declines but ends above the trigger level, the payout will be par. If the basket sinks below the trigger level investors will participate in any losses. The trigger level is 61.75% of the starting level.

UBS Financial Services Inc. and Barclays Capital are the underwriters.
