New Issue: HSBC prices $1.04 million buffered AMPS linked to index, ETF basket

Columbus, Ohio, Feb. 14 – HSBC USA Inc. priced $1.04 million of 0% buffered Accelerated Market Participation Securities due Feb. 14, 2022 linked to a basket containing the S&P 500 index with a 70% weight, the S&P MidCap 400 index with a 15% weight and the iShares MSCI EAFE exchange-traded fund with a 15% weight, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the basket return is positive, the payout at maturity will be par plus 1.5 times the basket return, subject to a maximum return of 13.8%%. Investors will receive par if the basket declines by 15% or less and will lose 1% for every 1% that it declines beyond 15%.
