Spirit AeroSystems delays earnings call, will divest Oklahoma business

By Lisa Kerner

Charlotte, N.C., Aug. 6 - Spirit AeroSystems Holdings, Inc. postponed its second-quarter earnings release and filing its quarterly report on form 10-Q with the Securities and Exchange Commission because the company's auditors have not completed their review.

Spirit expects to report that second-quarter 2013 revenues were $1.52 billion, up 13% from $1.34 billion for the same period of 2012, driven by higher production volumes and non-production revenues, according to a company news release.

Total operating performance also improved year over year, the company said.

Spirit also announced plans to divest its Oklahoma operations.

The company has amended its senior secured loan and credit facility to suspend the existing financial covenants through the fourth quarter of 2014. No event of default has occurred.

Spirit AeroSystems is a Wichita, Kan.-based maker of commercial and military airplane components, including fuselages, propulsion systems and wings.
