Fitch affirms Spectra, Texas Eastern

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed the outstanding ratings of Spectra Energy Capital, LLC and Texas Eastern Transmission, LP as listed: Spectra's issuer default rating at BBB, senior unsecured debt at BBB, short-term issuer default rating at F2 and short-term debt at F2, and Texas Eastern's issuer default rating at BBB+ and senior unsecured debt at BBB+.

The outlooks are stable.

The agency said that Spectra's ratings and stable outlook reflect the diversity and quality of its asset base, the high percentage of cash flows derived from stable pipelines and gas distribution assets, as well as strong industry fundamentals.
