Four Fidelity bond index funds tweak management fee structures

San Diego, Feb. 3 - Fidelity Investments announced that two share classes of each of four funds have modified their fee structures, according to a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The Fidelity Series Inflation-Protected Bond Index Fund has decreased its management fee to 0.05% from 0.1%. However, other expenses have increased to 0.15% from 0.1%, so the total annual operating expenses are the same, 0.2%.

Class F of the same fund has also dropped its management fees to 0.05% from 0.1%, resulting in a decrease in the total annual operating expenses to 0.05% from 0.1%.

The investor class and Fidelity Advantage class of the Spartan Intermediate Treasury Bond Index Fund, the Spartan Long-Term Treasury Bond Index Fund and the Spartan Short-Term Treasury Bond Index Fund have also modified their fee structures.

Management fees for both classes of all three funds have decreased to 0.05% from 0.1%. However, other fees have increased to 0.15% from 0.1% for the investor share class and to 0.05% from 0% for the Fidelity Advantage share class, with the net result being that total annual operating expenses remain at 0.2% and 0.1% for the investor share class and Fidelity Advantage share class, respectively.

Boston-based FMR is the investment adviser to the funds.
