Barclays plans buffered digital notes due 2020 linked to S&P 500

Norfolk, Va., Feb. 15 – Barclays Bank plc plans to price 0% buffered digital notes due Aug. 27, 2020 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
If the index finishes at or above its buffer level, 85% of its initial level, the payout at maturity will be par plus 19% to 20%. The exact digital return will be set at pricing.
If the index falls by more than 15%, investors will lose 1% for every 1% that the index declines.
Barclays is the agent.
The notes will price on Feb. 23 and settle on Feb. 28.
The Cusip number is 06741VJT0.
