New Issue: HSBC sells $544,000 13-month AMPS linked to S&P 500 index

Chicago, Oct. 27 - HSBC USA Inc. priced $544,000 of 0% Accelerated Market Participation Securities due Nov. 30, 2011 based on the performance of the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus triple any gain in the index, up to a maximum return of 18%.

Investors will be exposed to any losses.
