U.K.'s Autonomy to price 12.7 million shares

Chicago, July 3 - Autonomy Corp. plc said it would issue 12.7 million shares at a placing price to be determined Tuesday.

Proceeds from the private placement will help fund the proposed acquisition of Zantaz, Inc. for $375 million.

Citigroup Global Markets U.K. Equity Ltd. and UBS Ltd. are joint bookrunners for the deal.

The company's stock (London: AU) closed at 728p on July 2.

Autonomy is a software development and distribution company based in Cambridge, England.
