Fitch views Southwestern PSC positively

Fitch Ratings said it revised its outlook for Southwestern Public Service Co. to positive from stable and affirmed its BBB+ issuer and senior unsecured ratings.

The improved outlook reflects expected improvement in credit metrics over the forecast period and a more constructive regulatory environment where SPS can earn returns on equity closer to the allowed level, the agency said.
