Southwestern Electric Power intends to price series L senior notes

Knoxville, Tenn., Jan. 18 – Southwestern Electric Power Co. plans to price series L senior notes, according to a 424B5 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

BofA Merrill Lynch, Barclays, KeyBanc Capital Markets Inc. and UBS Securities LLC are the bookrunners.

Mizuho Securities USA Inc., BOK Financial Securities, Inc., Huntington Capital Markets, C.L. King & Associates, Loop Capital Markets LLC and Samuel A. Ramirez & Co. Inc. are the co-managers.

Proceeds will be used for funding the company’s construction program and other general corporate purposes relating to the utility business. These purposes may include redeeming or repurchasing debt and replenishing working capital.

Southwestern Electric Power is a Columbus, Ohio-based electric power company.
