Fitch rates Southwest Gas notes A

Fitch Ratings said it assigned an A rating to Southwest Gas Corp.'s $300 million of senior unsecured notes maturing in 2051. The agency’s issuer rating for Southwest Gas is A-.

Proceeds will be used to repay the balance under the credit facility and for general corporate purposes.

The outlook is negative.
