Southern States Cooperative $100 million eight-year notes price talk 10¼% area

St. Louis, Oct. 6 - Price talk on Southern States Cooperative Inc.'s $100 million offering of eight-year senior notes (B3/B) emerged Wednesday in the 10¼% area, according to an informed source.

The deal is expected to price on Thursday afternoon.

Wachovia Securities is the bookrunner for the Rule 144A offering.

The notes will come with four years of call protection.

Proceeds will be used to refinance debt.

Southern States Cooperative is a Richmond, Va.-based supplier of agricultural products and services.
