S&P could up Southern Natural Gas

S&P said it placed its BBB- corporate credit rating and senior unsecured debt rating on Southern Natural Gas Co. on CreditWatch with positive implications.

"The rating action reflects our view of SNG's stand-alone credit quality, which reflects a strong business risk profile and intermediate financial risk profile," S&P credit analyst Michael Grande said in a news release.
