Court gives Southern Montana Electric until Tuesday to fix disclosure

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, May 9 - Southern Montana Electric Generation and Transmission Cooperative, Inc. must make further amendments to the disclosure statement for its plan of reorganization by May 13, according to a Friday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Montana.

The company said it wants to make minor technical changes to the plan and add a definition.

Southern Montana Electric asked the court on Friday to conditionally approve the disclosure statement once the changes have been filed so the plan confirmation hearing can be scheduled for June 2.

Southern Montana filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 21, 2011. The Billings, Mont.-based cooperative's Chapter 11 case number is 11-62031.
