Southern Montana Electric disclosure statement hearing moved to May 20

By Kali Hays

New York, April 10 - Southern Montana Electric Generation and Transmission Cooperative, Inc.'s hearing to approve an amended disclosure statement has been continued to May 20, according to a Thursday order filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Montana.

The hearing was previously scheduled for April 15.

Though company counsel asked the hearing be moved to May 9, the judge ordered it be re-set for May 20 as it is the same date as the plan confirmation hearing and "confirmation of the plan in this case would render several matters moot," according to the order.

Southern Montana filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 21, 2011. The Billings, Mont.-based cooperative's Chapter 11 case number is 11-62031.
