Moody's rates 10 utilities

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned issuer ratings to 10 investment-grade utility issuers: Colonial Gas Co. at A3, Green Mountain Power Co. at Baa1, International Transmission Co. at Baa1, ITC Midwest LLC at Baa1, Kansas Gas and Electric Co. at Baa3, Michigan Electric Transmission Co., LLC at Baa1, New Jersey-American Water Co., Inc. at Baa1, Pennsylvania-American Water Co. at Baa1, South Jersey Gas Co. at Baa1 and Southern Connecticut Gas Co. at Baa2.

The ratings follow the one-notch upgrade of most senior secured ratings of investment-grade regulated utilities, according to the agency.
