Southern Co. to sell floaters via BofA, RBC, U.S. Bancorp

Knoxville, Tenn., Nov. 5 – Southern Co. intends to price series 2021C floating-rate senior notes, according to a 424B5 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are initially non-callable and then may be redeemed at par.

BofA Securities Inc., RBC Capital Markets LLC and U.S. Bancorp Investments Inc. are the bookrunners.

Proceeds will be used to repay commercial paper borrowings and for other general corporate purposes.

Southern is an Atlanta-based gas and electric company.
