S&P: SonicWall unaffected

Standard & Poor's said Dell Inc.'s announcement that it will purchase SonicWall Inc. for an undisclosed amount of cash does not immediately affect the ratings on SonicWall.

Neither the current B+ corporate credit rating, the BB issue rating, nor the 1 recovery rating on the company's debt is affected.

The agency said it expects to withdraw all the ratings when the transaction closes.
