Solar Power Partners to raise $60 million in 2008

Boston, Sept. 29 - Solar Power Partners, Inc. said it plans to close $60 million of project financing in 2008, according to a press release.

The company has already raised close to $100 million from debt and equity to date.

The investors and lenders include United Commercial Bank, Globespan Capital Partners, The Enlightened World Foundation, Carrelton Asset Management, Dry Creek Ventures, Silicon Valley Technology Group and Energy Investors Funds.

Proceeds from the various financings will be used for nationwide expansion, project development and equity participation in Solar Power Partners' solar energy funds.

Solar Power Partners is a Mill Valley, Calif.-based solar energy company.
