New York, Jan. 24 - Sociedad Quimica y Minera de Chile SA said it placed a 21-year offering of UF-denominated bonds (Chilean inflation adjusted currency) to yield 4.18%.
The size of the issue is equivalent to about $100 million, the company said in a disclosure to the Santiago Stock Exchange.
Proceeds from the sale will be used to refinance company liabilities and to fund its 2006 capital expenditure program.
The Santiago, Chile-based company produces specialty fertilizers, iodine and lithium.
