S&P affirms Sociedad Quimica

Standard & Poor's said that it affirmed the BBB rating on Sociedad Quimica y Minera de Chile SA.

The outlook is stable.

The ratings on Sociedad Quimica reflect the company's satisfactory business and intermediate financial profiles, the agency said.

The business profile benefits from good competitive positions in the specialty fertilizers, iodine and lithium global markets and cost-efficient production processes, the agency added. These help Sociedad Quimica to partly mitigate its exposure to price volatility on its main products, particularly potassium.
