S&P gives BBB to SQM notes

Standard & Poor's said it assigned a BBB rating to the up to $250 million in 10-year Rule 144A notes to be issued by Sociedad Quimica y Minera de Chile SA and affirmed its long-term corporate credit rating at BBB.

The outlook is stable.

Ratings reflect the firm's satisfactory business and intermediate financial profiles, the agency said.

The company benefits from low-cost production economics and has good operating cash generation, adequate liquidity and financial flexibility, according to the agency.
