S&P ups Autopista Central

Standard & Poor's said it raised Sociedad Concesionaria Autopista Central SA's (Autopista Central) to BBB from BBB-.

The outlook is stable.

The upgrade was based on its continued good revenue performance, which is above original expectations, S&P said.

In addition, revenue and traffic growth seem to be resilient against GDP drops, as evidenced by the 13.3% revenue increase and 0.6% overall traffic increase in 2009, in spite of a 1.5% decline in GDP, the agency said.

The stable outlook incorporates an expectation that the project will maintain a good financial performance, S&P said.
