Markit drops six firms from Markit CDX North America High Yield index

Tacoma, Wash., March 10 - Markit Group Ltd. said it removed six companies from the Markit CDX North America High Yield index.

The companies are Allied Waste North America, Inc., Charter Communications Holdings, LLC, Nortel Networks Corp., Smurfit-Stone Container Enterprises, Inc., Station Casinos, Inc. and Tribune Co.

The changes will be effective as of March 27, the next roll date.

Markit provides independent data, portfolio valuations and over-the-counter derivatives trade processing to the financial markets.
