SmartHeat files $75 million shelf registration covering stock, debt

Knoxville, Tenn., June 24 - SmartHeat Inc. filed a $75 million shelf registration in an S-3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The registration covers common stock, warrants, debt securities, rights and units.

The debt securities may be structured as convertibles.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

SmartHeat, based in Shenyang, China, manufactures plate heat exchangers and compact plate heat exchanger units.
