Sino-Forest CCAA stay period extension request OK'd by Ontario court

Pittsburgh, April 16 - Sino-Forest Corp.'s Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act stay period has been extended to June 1 by the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, according to a company news release.

The court's initial March 30 order provided for a 30-day stay period, the release said.

Toronto-based Sino-Forest is a commercial forest plantation operator in China.
