Silgan amends loan, providing for new C$45 million term loan

By Sara Rosenberg

New York, Dec. 29 - Silgan Holdings Inc. amended its credit facility, providing for an additional C$45 million incremental term loan tranche, according to an 8-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

In addition, the amendment provides that the company's Canadian term loan B accordion feature not be reduced by the new incremental term loan debt.

Proceeds from the incremental debt were used to help fund the company's acquisition of Cousins-Currie Ltd.

Deutsche Bank is the administrative agent on the deal.

The amendment became effective on Dec. 20.

Silgan is a Stamford, Conn.-based manufacturer of consumer goods packaging products.
