Moody's ups Siberian Coal

Moody's Interfax Rating Agency said it raised the national scale rating of Siberian Coal Energy Co. OJSC to Aa3.ru from A1.ru.

The outlook is stable.

The agency said the upgrade was triggered by the company's steadily improving financial metrics, primarily as a result of strong Asian thermal coal markets, and the recent de-merger of its power assets and related corporate restructuring, which simplified its business profile and ownership structure.
