Shopko marks $113 million of net income for March 3 to April 6 period

Pittsburgh, April 30 – Shopko reported $113 million of net income for the period of March 3 through April 6 on $198.11 million in total revenue, according to its monthly operating report filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Nebraska.

In comparison, Shopko posted a $12.08 million net loss for the period of Feb. 3 through March 2 on $129.93 million in total revenue.

The net income for the March period included $117.81 million in net reorganization items.

The company had $44.22 million in cash as of April 6, up from $34.18 million at March 2.

Shopko is a Green Bay, Wis., operator of general merchandise stores throughout the Central, Western and Pacific Northwest regions of the United States. The company is a $3 billion retailer that operates more than 360 stores in 26 states. The company filed bankruptcy on Jan. 16 under Chapter 11 case number is 19-80064.
