By Tali David

Minneapolis, April 22 - Shearman & Sterling added Bjorn Bjerke to its structured finance practice, according to a press release.

Bjerke comes to Shearman & Sterling from Davis Polk, where he was a partner in the corporate department. He has experience advising clients on various forms of secured financing, financial products, and derivatives across a broad range of asset classes, including receivables, securities, fund interests, airline miles, subscription commitments, whole loans, collateralized debt obligations and collateralized loan obligations.

"Bjorn's experience and his client contacts will serve us well as we continue to strengthen our structured finance practice and apply this expertise to asset management, capital markets, bankruptcy and reorganization and other engagements," senior partner Creighton Condon said in the release.

New York-based Shearman & Sterling is a law firm specializing in major corporations, financial institutions and government entities.
