Shearman & Sterling hires leveraged finance partner Rahul Chatterji

Chicago, June 15 – Shearman & Sterling announced the appointment of Rahul Chatterji as a leveraged finance partner in the London finance practice, according to a news release.

Chatterji brings expertise in acquisition financing and leveraged buyouts (public and private M&A), other event-driven financing transactions, direct and special situations lending, distressed investments and debt restructurings and workouts.

Shearman & Sterling has continued to expand core practice areas with 15 lateral hires globally since January.

Rahul’s hire follows the appointment of London partners Sanjeev Dhuna in leveraged finance, Phil Cheveley in M&A and Sam Brodie and Helena Potts in restructuring.

Further recent partner hires include Houston partners Emily Leitch in capital markets and Daniel Tristan in finance.

Prior to joining Shearman & Sterling Rahul was a special counsel at Milbank LLP.

Headquarters for the law firm are in New York.
