Sempra Energy plans to price offering of floating-rate notes due 2021

Knoxville, Tenn., Oct. 10 – Sempra Energy intends to conduct an offering of floating-rate notes due 2021, according to a 424B5 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will be non-callable.

J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and Mizuho Securities USA Inc. are the bookrunners.

Proceeds will be used to repay commercial paper and for other general corporate purposes.

Sempra is a San Diego-based energy services company.
