Fitch affirms Semen Baturaja

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed PT Semen Baturaja's national long-term rating at A-(idn). The rating on its Rp 200 billion rupiah notes was affirmed at A-(idn) and withdrawn as it was fully repaid on June 22.

The outlook is stable.

The rating continues to reflect its leading market position in its primary market with a 58% market share in 2009, as well as its entrenched position and strong brand image in this region, Fitch said.

The ratings continue to be constrained by its scale, with 3% market share on a nationwide basis and the inherent volatility of cement demand as it is highly related to the developments of the construction and property sectors, the agency said.
